Seeking a nurturing nanny, who has infant experience, can support high separation anxiety and, can use their initiative. 

Their ideal nanny would have a great love for the outdoors and would be happy to take the baby out at least once a day. Mum will be enrolling baby at their local forest school, which is within walking distance, the nanny would be expected to accompany her on a regular weekly basis. 

The family like elements of Steiner and Reggio approaches, therefore the nanny would need to provide lots of singing, stories and creative learning experiences. Baby has been responding well to “Sing and Sign” classes. Mum has been taking her on a regular basis, so a nanny who knows Makaton or is willing to learn some key signs is desirable. 

Duties: All nursery duties, including baby’s laundry, tidying and cleaning up after mealtimes, messy play and keeping toys tidy. 

The family enjoy clean eating, they enjoy eating organic foods and limit their dairy and gluten intake. Mum will have meals prepared for baby, however the nanny will need to be able to cook basic meals from scratch, if/when needed. 

Taking baby to the local park, walks in the pushchair and provide opportunities for activities in the garden. 

Baby is in a well-established routine, having two naps a day, giving the nanny time to keep on top of any house chores, prepare for activities and outings. 

Baby’s interests: Baby enjoys being sung to, listening to music and playing with her musical instruments. She shows an interest in buttons and discovering how things work. The nanny would encourage her to further learning experiences by providing activities that enable her to practice her fine-motor skills.

Start date: January 6th with some settling in days in December. 

Days/hours: Monday 8am - 4pm, Tuesday 8am - 5pm and Wednesday 8am - 5pm (Term- time only)

Please note: Nanny cannot take holiday during term-time, due to mums work commitments. 

Qualifications: Childcare qualifications or a teaching qualification. 

Experience: One years’ experience of working as a professional nanny. Must have infant experience.

Driver: Not needed as everything is within walking distance from the family’s home, however, may need to drive to arrive at work on time.

Position: Part- time, Sole charge, Ofsted registered or willing to be.

Salary: £910 gross per month, to be paid over 12 consecutive months. 

Must have an up to date enhanced DBS and on the update service. 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate. A minimum of two professional references, one which MUST be your current or last employer, that are immediately contactable.
